Have you ever knocked endlessly on a door? You wanted in so badly! You could hear people or things going on inside. In your heart you wanted to belong. You wanted what was inside. You seen others there, it wasn’t jealously you felt. It was just you just wanted to fit with the inside door group.
You wanted…well, you know what you wanted. You wanted to belong. You wanted to be accepted or maybe appreciated. You not only wanted, you thought you needed it.
Listen, If you have to force your way through the door, it may not be for you. Even if you get in the door, you probably will not find happiness there. You will always be trying to prove your worthiness. We can want something so badly we are willing to break rules, nag those in charge, even beg for the door to open and find loopholes to make it happen. Although there is definitely a biblical principle of being persistent (Matthew 7:7), we should do so with wisdom.
I know it hurts. I can feel and see your tears. It wasn’t suppose to be this hard. But know this, sometimes the Lord is saying “no” because He has something better for us. Rather than force something outside of God’s will, allow Him to lead the way.
You will find happiness. There will be a door that will open for you. Relax, dry your tears. Give it some time. Wait patiently. Let God reveal and open the right door.
Today, I pray for peace. I pray for you to see God had the plan and the door. I pray that this relentless need you have to belong will cease. Let your heart not be troubled. Stop beating on the door or trying to make a door in a brick wall. Be at peace.
