Have you noticed how many times God used the most unlikely people? He called a stutterer to be His spokesperson. He used a boy to topple the giant. He used a little unnamed girl to change Naaman and a whole country. None of Jesus’ closest followers were religious leaders. And they changed the world. That brings me comfort.
“And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” Exodus‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and will teach you what you shall say.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬
If you’re like me, you sometimes feel very undeserving of God’s love. And very unqualified to be used by Him. God has to remind me often that everything He invites me into is about Him…not me. He is the One who calls us and equips us.
God doesn’t need our help. He is perfect. He chooses to use us because His glory and power are on display through our imperfections and weaknesses. And yes, we have many.
God promises to provide and empower you, for His glory. You can trust that He can, and will, work through you…blemishes and all. His grace and power are more than enough.
So today, accept your calling; accept His power and grace! I promise you He will show up.
