{"id":12980,"date":"2024-07-25T08:13:05","date_gmt":"2024-07-25T11:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shreveministries.org\/wp2\/?p=12980"},"modified":"2024-07-25T08:22:15","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T11:22:15","slug":"we-are-messengers-of-the-lord-of-hosts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shreveministries.org\/wp2\/2024\/07\/we-are-messengers-of-the-lord-of-hosts\/","title":{"rendered":"We Are Messengers of the LORD of Hosts!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>For the priest\u2019s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at His mouth; for he is <strong>THE MESSENGER OF THE LORD OF HOSTS.<\/strong><\/em> (Malachi 2:7 KJV)<\/p>\n<p>In the Old Covenant, priests were referred to as \u201cmessengers of the LORD of hosts.\u201d All New Covenant believers receive the status of being priests. So it follows that we also are all called to be His messengers as well. As the scripture above speaks, just as it was in ancient days, our responsibility still is to seek the Word \u201cat His mouth.\u201d In other words, we are not only called to know His written Word; we are invited to walk in such intimacy with Him that we are sensitive to His living Word\u2014inspired insights given to us for our own sake and that we might help others on their journey through life. Yes, we need to pray, we need to hear from God, and we need to fill this role of being \u201cmessengers of the Lord of hosts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Me<\/strong><strong>ditation verses:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Then Haggai, <strong>the<\/strong> <strong>LORD&#8217;S messenger<\/strong>, spoke the LORD&#8217;S message to the people, saying, &#8220;I am with you, says the LORD.\u201d <\/em>(Haggai 1:13)<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cBehold, I send<strong> My messenger<\/strong>, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even <strong>the Messenger<\/strong> of the covenant, in whom you delight.
